Fabric Case
How to Assemble Your Organic Latex Mattress
Thank you for choosing inBed Organics.
To keep your mattress safe during shipping, it arrives in separate pieces:
-
The fabric case
-
The latex core(s)
Please handle the latex gently until it is fully enclosed. Each case includes a three-sided zipper, allowing for easy removal and cleaning.
Below are the step-by-step instructions for assembling your mattress.
Assembly Instructions: 6" Fabric Case (No Wool)
-
Turn the fabric case inside out.
-
Lay the inside-out case directly on top of the latex core.
-
Reach inside the case and align the first 6" corner of the latex with the case.
-
Move to the opposite side and align the other 6" corner.
-
Align the two top seams across the width.
-
Slowly begin to work the case down over the latex, following the seams along the length.
-
Gently press the latex inward to help the case slide down.
-
Carefully flip the latex core, turning the top to the bottom.
-
Flipping will help the case move further into position—repeat as needed.
-
Continue until the latex is nearly inside the case.
-
Push the latex fully into the bottom of the case, even if the seams are not yet perfect.
-
Flip the mattress back and forth until the latex naturally settles into place and the seams align.
Note: The case is intentionally made slightly larger to allow for shrinkage after washing.
Assembly Instructions: 8" Fabric Case (With Wool)
-
Lay the fabric case unzipped on your bed frame, with the wool side facing down (we assemble it upside down and flip it later).
-
Place the 2" latex topper inside the open case.
-
Place the 6" latex core on top. If the core is wrapped in plastic, position it first and then carefully remove the plastic so it can unroll.
-
Zip the case partially closed.
-
Flip the mattress so the wool side is now facing up.
-
Zip further if possible.
-
If the zipper becomes difficult to close, flip the mattress upside down again to finish zipping.
-
Once fully zipped, flip the mattress back to its correct orientation.
Handling Tips
Latex is strong but can tear if pulled incorrectly. To flip safely:
-
Do not pull on the fabric or stretch the latex.
-
Place one hand on the top surface and the other directly underneath.
-
Squeeze and flip in one smooth motion, without tugging.
